The organ that I chose is The Urinary System.  follow the homework instructions below. I only need two paragraph

1) Describe the Organ System and list some of the major organs that are associated with the System.

2) When a disease is observed in an Organ System, using Physiology, the disruptive mechanism can be explained using the organs, tissues and cells.  Choose a disease that affects your organ system, and explain the disruption of homeostasis at the cellular level.

An important Organ System in the human body is the Endocrine System.  The word -Endo translates to within and –Crine, as releasing, thus the Endocrine System contains Organs that release hormones within the body, or blood stream.  Some of the major organs are the pituitary gland, thyroid, ovaries, testes, adrenal glands, hypothalamus, pineal and the Pancreas.

The Pancreas contains cells that produce a hormone called insulin.  If there is damage to the Beta cells within the Pancreas, insulin production is compromised and a disease known as Diabetes is observed
