An Exploration of the Planets and a Study in Stellar Lifespans, science homework help

I need 2 or 3 paragraphs on the below topic and replies to the 2 below peer posts:

We use what we know about Earth—its structure, atmosphere, geologic activities, and processes—to prove or disprove our theories of other planets. Describe one such example of our use of Earth analogs to determine the circumstances elsewhere, and explain how it might influence our explorations in the future. And for the last time this term, don’t choose an example that already has been posted.

We know what volcanic activity looks like from having experienced it. We see what volcanos look like, and how they erupt. Knowing this when scientists were looking at other planets, they decided that Mercury has many volcanic features, and the largest- known impact crater (Lutgens, Tarbuck & Tasa, 2014). There are some satellites that show volcanic activity. Io, one of Jupiter’s moons, has volcanically active bodies (Lutgens, et al, 2014). This could influence our explorations in the future because, if we go back to Mercury, we could look more at the volcanic activity. We could also look more closely at other planets, and their satellites to see if there is more volcanic activity in our universe, or other galaxies that are out there (if we ever get there).

Water in all forms is examined on earth as well other planets. Kerr (1999) discusses that through data that is known about our planet, scientist are producing simulations of plant data that could possibly support water. This is done by identification of mountains, distances from their sun, and other atmospheric identifiers Kerr (1999). Given this was 1999 for prior simulations. Kempton (2014) states now able to use knowledge of water vapors and earth like planetary data to discover water on earth like planets such as HAT-P-11b. While they often look for clouds, the discovery was without clouds at all, researchers are still hopeful to find more planets which can produce clouds (Kempton, 2014). I think that it is very cool that within a time of only 15 years the knowledge has changed that much. While this was done with amazing machines the Hubble and Spizer telescopes, there is talk about the company I work for and the development of the James Webb system going up soon, possibility of even more discovery (Kempton, 2014).
