Lesson 13 Discussion

Lesson 13 Discussion

Group Discussion: Fire and explosion scenes have an additional challenge not found in many other cases: the volatile and potentially harmful scene itself. Also, some evidence may be destroyed from fire extinguishing methods, trampled by rescue crews, or degraded from elemental conditions and time. Given these factors, are we expecting too much from investigators who must enter these compromised scenes to collect evaporating evidence in a timely manner? Where is the balance?
