To treat or not to treat, health & medical homework help
SUBJECT: Providing Care for patients with end stage renal disease and the patients have no payer source, undocumented and minimal money. Dialysis costs the hospital for acute inpatients $13000 per run, just for the dialysis run; does not include Emergency room, meds, staff on floor and other resources. Patients will need 2 to 3 runs per week to remain functional in society. The hospital is a non-profit community hospital with limited resources. Argue for caring for these patients because they are people in need. Counter to the argument is that the hospital cannot continue to bleed resources, and money. The culture of the hospital is conflicting; with all of the budgetary constraints and revenue issues some nurses and doctors wonder why we do it (EMTALA) . Some nurses are more giving and would like to care for whoever comes in regardless of cost; they save lives, C suite does the money.

Begin the process of constructing your project by choosing a particular issue or problem. It could be related to your personal life or career path. The goal is then to align this problem or issue with a specific logic model from the text and/or other critical thinking tools you have been learning throughout the course. As you construct your essay, utilize critical thinking tools to evaluate your data and your credible research, interpret this data, and understand your specific problem or issue from a broader, deeper and more focused perspective. Accessing and implementing credible research from the CSU Global Library is vitally important in the process of constructing your final essay as it will also be important in all your future coursework.
In constructing your essay, utilize and integrate the Elements of Thought from Chapter 5, pp. 104-122.
Your paper must:
