La microbiología, es considerada como la ciencia encargada de estudiar todos los organismos microscópicos o que no pueden ser observados a simple vista, ésta ciencia se rige desde tiempos antiguos. Dicha ciencia ha evolucionado periódicamente a través de la historia ofreciendo información sobre la importancia del mundo microbiano a nivel ambiental, ecológico y aspectos de la salud pública entre otras áreas.
Desde el descubrimiento del microscopio, hasta los recientes hallazgos de DNA de la bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis en momias egipcias de hace 3,000 años la microbiología nos concede una cantidad enorme de descubrimientos y aportaciones de diversos personajes que enriquecen nuestro conocimiento, amplían las diversas ciencias relacionadas y sitúa ésta materia como una de gran relevancia y valor en nuestro ambiente científico.
Durante esta unidad nos introducimos a la ciencia de la microbiología, estudiando así diversos conceptos relacionados y conoceremos un poco más sobre la historia de ésta fascinante, diversa y compleja disciplina.

Healthy relationships form the basis for a positive workplace. When staff are engaged in their jobs, supported by one another, and feel a sense of security in their work, healthy relationships among staff members will flourish. Nurse managers can assess the workplace for healthy relationships by observing the interactions among staff members. Are trust, respect, and collegiality evident, or might some staff members display toxic or dysfunctional behaviors toward one another? When toxic or dysfunctional behaviors are evident even among the smallest cohort of staff, nurse managers must take steps to foster positive interactions. In fact, all other efforts to establish a positive workplace will likely fall short if they are not built on the foundation of healthy interpersonal relationships.
In this Discussion, you examine the interactions between employees at your current organization or one with which you are familiar. You also explore positive psychology, a theory of well-being that has helped many workplaces to increase positivity and foster healthy relationships among staff members.
To prepare
Post an explanation of at least two leadership strategies you could implement to build healthy relationships among staff members in the workplace you selected. Cite specific examples in your explanation by identifying the staff members you would target and explaining how your strategies would foster healthy interactions among these staff members. In addition, suggest at least one positive psychology strategy you could employ to increase the ratio of positive to negative interactions in your workplace; explain your rationale.
Project Requirements:
R1) Identify an application of interest in which FIR filters are useful, and understand the motivation of employing the FIR in such an application. For example, is an FIR used for modeling the input-output relationship of a process of interest? Is it employed for system design in order to achieve a desired goal for this application? Such goals may include noise suppression, interference cancellation, parameter estimation, source detection, signal recovery, target tracking, to name a few.
R2) Clearly explain the physical meaning of the (discrete-time) input signal x[n] and output signal y[n]. Show that the input and output are related through a FIR-based system equation.
R3) Explain why the FIR-based system equation in R2) is useful for the identified application. For example, if the FIR is used for modeling, then explain why the FIR model adequately describes the input-output relationship and how this model can be used for subsequent design purpose. If the FIR is used for system design, then explain the design goal and why an FIR is effective to attaining the goal.
R4) If applicable, you may elaborate on the choice of the FIR filter by explaining its advantages and disadvantages over other modeling or design alternative. R5) There is no need for computer simulations or mathematical derivations. You shall be able to address the aforementioned issues via literature research.
Requirements of the Project Report:
• Your report shall have the following parts: 1) Title, which reflects your chosen topic. 2) Name of the author – You. 3) Introduction, which gives a short introduction to the application of your choice, and explains the motivation for employing FIR filters in this application (c.f. R1) above). 4) Problem statement, which explains the input-output relationship of the FIR filter, clearly states the physical meaning of the filter input and output, and state to the problem to be solved by this filter (c.f. R2) and R3) above). 5) Discussions and conclusion, which briefly discusses related design or modeling issues (c.f. R4) above), and summarizes the usefulness of FIR filters in the application. 6) References, where you list one to two main references (papers, websites, books etc.) used during your literature research.
• The format of the report can be flexible, but shall follow the common practice of the technical papers in the ECE field. You can consult some IEEE journal or conference papers for the paper format.
• Be clear and concise in writing. No need to write a lengthy report. Up to one page is allowed.

You use different forms of measurement throughout your daily life, at home, at work, and in other day to day activities. For example, when brewing a pot of coffee in the morning, both the water and the coffee grounds must be measured to create a cup (or two) to start off the day. On the drive to work, or school, you also must consider the time of day and associated traffic, the distance to travel, and the amount of gas in the tank of the car.
